O'CONNELL (née McGurk) (Maureen) (Lakelands Road, Stillorgan, Co. Dublin) - Maureen's husband Fergus, sisters Annette, Catherine, Helen, brothers Michael, Eddie, Tom, Peter, sisters-in-law Mairead, Kathleen, Deirdre, Siobhan, Fionnuala, brothers-in-law Pearse, Risteard, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand- nephews, wish to thank most sincerely all who offered sympathy and condolences. A special thanks to those who attended the removal and funeral Mass at St Laurence O'Toole Church, Kilmacud and also everyone who sent sympathy cards and letters, telephoned or personally conveyed their sympathy. St Vincent's Medical, Nursing Staff and Chaplaincy Service deserve great credit for their professionalism, understanding and tender care at all times. Thanks to those who attended from the Defence Forces , including Deputy Chief of Staff Maj-Gen Dermot Earley, Deputy Chief of Staff Maj-Gen Pat Nash and many other serving and retired officers. The presence of Maureen's many Bridge Club friends from Foxrock, Kilmacud and Blackrock was very much appreciated, as were all neighbours and friends from all over the country and abroad who were either present or represented at the funeral. Finally, Catherine and Helen are deserving of special gratitude for the magnificent support in taking care of Maureen at home and in hospital during those dark and traumatic days. Niall Edwards who managed all the funeral arrangements with such care and dedication was a great support. To thank everyone personally would be impossible but it is hoped that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our gratitude to all.Buiochas le cach agus
