McCARTHY (née Hurl) (late of Marley Grange and Rathmines) - March 25, 2011 (peacefully), at Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross - Berna; best friend of Ted, darling Mum to Brendan, Fiona and Róisín, cherished Granny to Dylan, Emma, Isabella, Killian and Dara and dear sister to Nuala, Patricia and Therry and the late Dympna, Maureen and Sean; sadly missed by her nephews, nieces, relations, friends, neighbours and members of the Dublin County Choir. Removal on Monday morning from Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum to the Church of the Divine Word, Marley Grange for funeral Mass at 11.30 o'clock, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross.
McCARTHY (née Hurl) Berna (Marley Grange and Rathmines), died March 25, 2011 - On this Berna's First Anniversary, Ted, Brendan, Fiona, Róisín and family would sincerely like to thank all our relatives, friends and neighbours for their support and prayers at the time of Berna's illness and death. Thanks to Fr. Bernard Treacy OP, Fr. Dermod McCarthy, Fr. Colm McGlynn OSM, Fr. James Harris OP and Br. Kevin Crowley OFM Cap and Dublin County Choir for their participation in the funeral ceremony and to all those who attended. Thanks to St. James's Hospital and Our Lady's Hospice, Harold's Cross for the expert care and attention provided to Berna. We would ask that this acknowledgement be accepted as a token of our appreciation and gratitude to all concerned. First Anniversary Mass in Church of the Divine Word, Marley Grange tomorrow, Sunday, March 25, at 10.30a.m.
McCARTHY (Hurl) (Second Anniversary - March 25, 2011). You have now reached a new awareness Berna. You gave us love and music. We will remember you - for as long as we live you are part of us. Let us now begin and dry some of our tears. All our love, Ted, Brendan, Fiona, Róisín, (spouses) Ciara, Neil and Rob, (your grandchildren) Killian, Dara, Oisín, Dylan, Emma and Isabella.
