FINLAY Marian (née Egan) (of Finlay's Shoe Shop, Camden St. and lately of Heytesbury Street, Dublin) - January 14, 2011 peacefully at St James's Hospital, having been wonderfully cared for in the Meath Community Nursing Unit. Beloved wife of the late John, dear mother of Ken, Mary, Margaret, Ian and the late Leo, grandmother of Cillian, Colm, and Olivia, sister of Peter, John, Nora, Bridget and the late Paddy and Tom, sister-in-law of Leo Finlay and his wife Phyl. Sadly missed by her loving family, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives and friends. Removal this evening (Tuesday) from Corrigan & Sons Funeral Home, Camden Street to St Kevin's Church, Harrington St. arriving at 6pm. Funeral tomorrow (Wednesday) after 10am Mass in St Kevin's to Cargin cemetery, Headford, Co. Galway. Family flowers only. Donations if desired in memory of Marian to The Patients' Comfort Fund, Meath Community Nursing Unit."Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis"
FINLAY Marian - On the First Anniversary of Marian's death, her sons Ken and Ian, daughters Mary and Margaret and extended family wish to thank all those who sympathised with us on our loss. Sincere thanks to all who attended and assisted with the funeral and burial, and all who sent letters of condolence and mass cards. The family acknowledge with deep gratitude the support received from family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to those who cared for Marian at home, and the staff at the Meath Community Unit and St James' Hospital for the wonderful care she received. Please accept this Acknowledgement as a token of gratitude and appreciation to everyone.
