WHELAN (née Benson) (Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin) - October 13, 2009, in the wonderful care of the staff at the Belmont Nursing Home, Stillorgan, in her 94th year, Carmel, beloved wife of the late Tommy, treasured and adored mother of Maureen (Duggan), Brian, Irene (McHugh), Pauline (Leahy) and Dermot; sadly missed by her children, brother Frank, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Sinead, sons-in-law Alan, Barry and John, daughter-in-law Michele, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Removal today (Thursday) from Quinns of Glasthule to St. Michael's Church, Dun Laoghaire arriving at 5 o'clock Funeral tomorrow (Friday) after 10 o'clock Mass to Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Down Syndrome Ireland.May she rest in peace.
