CREAN Geraldine (Ger.) (Killiney, Co. Dublin and Pt. Road, Dundalk) - who in the early morning of Wednesday October 13, 2010 took an unexpectedly sudden, peaceful and scenic route to Heaven via the beautiful island of Cyprus. No words written here can adequately express the void that her untimely passing has left, now and forever, in the lives of her nearest and dearest, namely husband Liam, daughter Mary, son Niall and brother Michéal and extended family. The loving support of so many, many people will always be etched in our memories with great affection and appreciation. To all those who contributed, in whatever way, to that loving support, especially those who travelled such long distances, we say a very simple but heartfelt thank you, and may God bless you all. We were blessed to have the presence and gentle guidance of Father Eamon Hoey of Redemptorists, Dundalk both prior to and in his celebration of Geraldine's requiem Mass and at her burial. Thank you, Father. Special thanks to Tony Shevlin for his warm and personal guidance together with his sensitive and professional handling of the funeral arrangements. On Liam's behalf, and in recognition of the truly outstanding and loving care given to him during those empty days between Geraldine's passing and his repatriation to Ireland, he wishes to acknowledge in particular: The staff at Atlantica Oasis Hotel in Limassol for care way beyond the call of duty, exceptional is an inadequate word to describe them, likewise, the staff of Thomas Cook, for their very special attention and the cabin staff of British Airways flight BA663, Larnaca to London on the October 15, who would want to fly with anyone else? Thanks also to V.H.I Insurance for their very efficient and unobtrusive handling of the logistics of getting Geraldine and Liam back home. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
