POWER (Joe) (Larchfield Road, Roebuck, Dublin 14) (Died October 27, 2005) (former Religious Affairs Correspondent, Irish Independent) - On this Joe's First Anniversary, he is remembered with fondest love. Dearly missed beloved husband of Pansy and great Dad to Anna-Maria, Marie-Therese, Justine, Caroline and John. The family together with his brother John and sister Mary wish to thank our wonderful friends and neighbours for their love and support. Our sincere thanks to His Grace, The Most Reverend Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, D.D. for his concelebration of Requiem Mass with V. Rev. Edward Doyle, P.P., Montgomery City, MO., V. Rev. Pat McManus, P.P., Mount Merrion and the Rt. Rev. Monsignor John Moloney, P.P., Rathgar. Our thanks also to our Parish Priest the V. Rev. Donal Doherty, Holy Cross, Dundrum. To the Rev. David Tyndall our grateful thanks for his presence with us and prayers during our last moments with Joe before he made his final journey from home. It was indeed a great tribute to Joe's life that so many of his former N.U.J. colleagues and friends were present at the ceremonies as it was a Bank Holiday weekend, many spending hours travelling and journeying from abroad; our grateful appreciation for being with us. We extend our sincere thanks also to everyone who attended the removal, Requiem Mass and graveside, those who sent Mass Cards, letters of sympathy, floral tributes, called or 'phoned. A very special word of thanks to Professor John Hegarty, the Liver Transplant Team, co-ordinators, the nursing staff of St. Brigid's Unit and the general I.C.U. of St. Vincent's University Hospital, Elm Park for their care and professional services. Our thanks also to Jodie Fanagan and Fanagan Undertakers for the helpful advice, assistance and courtesy extended when most needed. As a token of our heartfelt appreciation the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions."Ar dheís De go raibh a anam dílis"
