Very Sad and Shocked at your loss

To the Whole Egan Family. I received a remembrance card at my parents address, in Carrignavar Village, Co. Cork at the weekend. I had not even known that Madge had passed. I was completely shocked. I was the best of Friends with Madge while at college in Tralee. She would often give me a loan of her college notes, as I was quite Tardy on a regular basis. We would always go out together, just the two of us, anytime I stayed down at the Weekend. We had many great nights in the Blasket, McDades and Horans. I can still see here now in the full lenght green leather jacket that she picked up in a Thrifty shop for an absolute bargain. It was quite the envy of all of us until I accidently burned alarge hole in the inside lining one night. I don't think I ever fully admitted to it, for I was full sure she would have disowned me. Madge was one of 5 die hard friends that came to my 21st in my local village in Cork. My father thought she was the Bees Knees and one of my Uncles said she was great, as she would talk to the wall.

After Tralee I finished a Degree/Masters at University of Limerick. I worked in Cork for a few years and still met up with Madge inCork on and off. About 4 1/2 years ago I moved to Waterford to work for Teva Pharmaceuticals. After that I'm sorry to say that I had been in contact with Madge less and less but everytime I talked to her, we took up where we left off. I was only thinking of her the other day, as I am getting married next year and was hoping to invite some of the college crew that I had not seen in ages. I could not believe it, when I opened a remembrance card for Majella. I still do not know who sent it.If someone gets this message please accept my deepest apology for not knowing that she had died. I would still like to hear what happened to her. I will also look for any pictures I have of Madge to send on, if you want them?.My e-mail is Liam.Holland@teva.ie and phone is 0879854044.

Please accept our sincere sympathies and apologies.

I am so sorry to hear that Majella has died. We have only just found out and it has come as such a shock. There were 4 of us in college in Tralee with Majella, we lived on McGowans lane and Majella used to visit us all the time, we considered her a great friend but lost contact after we left tralee. Please accept our deepest sympathies, Theresa Molloy nee Colohan. Cork. ter_molloy@yahoo.ie
