CAPTAIN PADDY MARTIN - R.I.P.

To Paddy's Family,

Very sorry for your loss.

When I was a new co-pilot in Aer Lingus it was my great fortune and privilege to do some of my training on the Boeing 737 with Paddy. He was exactly the sort of Training Captain you wanted to be with. You weren't afraid to ask questions or make mistakes because Paddy's down-to-earth nature immediately set you at ease and brought the best out in you. And flying aside, socially, Paddy was great company and always a true gentleman.

Thanks for the many happy memories, Paddy. May your final touchdown be a real "greaser"!

Regards,

Captain Tom Nilan - Aer Lingus

P.S. - Great Pilots never die - they just move to a higher plane.
