McCARTHY (Liam) (Padre Pio House, Glenabo, Fermoy, Co. Cork) (March 31, 1930 - April 22, 2006) (Acknowledgement and First Anniversary) - On this the First Anniversary of the death of our beloved Liam, we, Crissi his wife, Sean, Liam, Moira, Mairead, Eibhlin, Timothy, Ciaran, Finbarr, Brendan and Elizabeth his children would like to thank most sincerely all those who supported us and sympathised with us in our great loss. We are deeply grateful to all who helped care for Liam during his illness; Doctors Peter McCarthy, Eamon Rodgers, Oscar Breathnach, Seamus O'Reilly, the staff of St. Teresa's Ward, Mercy Hospital, the Marymount Care Team, Evelyn O'Kane D.N., Sr Patricia, Danny Howard and to our many kind neighbours and friends who called during those final weeks. We would like to thank all those who attended the Rosary, removal and funeral Mass, those who travelled long distances, those who sent Mass Cards and Perpetual Enrolment, in particular forestry personnel. We would like to thank Fr Tony O'Brien P.P. and the priests of our parish, also Fr Eamon Barry, Fr Donal Roberts, Canon Ned Gould, Canon Tim O'Leary, Fr John McCarthy, Fr Coakley, Fr Madden, and the Capuchin priests who concelebrated the funeral Mass with Liam's brother Fr Berchmans McCarthy OFM Cap. and to Roisin O'Reilly, soloist and Majorie Moran, organist. We would finally like to express our appreciation to neighbours and friends who helped with food and refreshments and who continue to support us. A very special thanks to the couples in Crissi's prayer group who continue to keep Liam and his family in their prayers. The Holy sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for all. Liam's First Anniversary Mass will take place on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at 11.15 o'clock in St. Patrick's Church, Fermoy.
