RUDDOCK (Daphne Emma) (Died very peacefully on May 19, 2006) - Gladys and the family would like to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with them on the recent sad loss of their most cherished sister, aunt and grand-aunt. We thank all who attended the Service of Thanksgiving and those who telephoned, called to the house, sent letters, cards, Mass Cards and donations to the Blackrock Hospice. We also greatly appreciated the many floral tributes. A special Thank You to Canon Neil McEndoo for his many pastoral visits and to the Grange Golf members for their continued support and also to the Alexandra College Junior and Senior staff and students for their part in creating a special tribute to Daphne at the Service. Our thanks also go to Professor Carney and his staff at the Mater Private Hospital and to Dr Noreen O'Hanrahan and the Hospice Nursing Team for their tender care of Daphne during her very short illness. It would be impossible to thank everyone individually, so we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation of their love and friendship.Reflection for all our Deceased Parents, Relations and Friends.
You can shed tears that they have gone
or you can smile because they lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that they will come back
or you can open your eyes and see all that they have left.
Your heart can be empty because you cannot see them
or you can be full of the love that you shared with them.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember them and only that they have gone
or you can cherish their memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your head, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what they would have wanted - smile, love, play and go on.
