CARMICHAEL (Desmond) (Sandford Avenue, SC Road, Dublin) (Late of Etna Drive, Ardoyne, Belfast) (Died October 31, 2008) - Wife Joan, daughter Dearbháil, sisters Claire, Violet and Robina, wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us, called to the house, attended the funeral Services, sent Mass Cards, floral tributes or letters of sympathy on our very sad loss. The priests of the parish who visited Des in hospital and in the Nursing Home and who officiated at Des's funeral ceremonies. All those who helped to organise Des's last journey and who participated in any way in the funeral ceremonies. Joan and Dearbháil would like also to sincerely thank all those who visited Des during his long illness, sent him cards and never forgot him. Thanks also to those who supported us throughout the four long years and thereby helped us to support Des. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Bellvilla Community Unit who treated Des with such consistent and unfailing care and kindness and who also supported us during his time in their care. To our GP and the GP who attended Des in Bellvilla and the Palliative Care Team who attended him in the last week of his life and thanks also to the staff at St James's Hospital who looked after Des initially and on subsequent return visits. It is impossible to thank everyone individually and we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a very sincere token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Sincerely: Joan and Dearbháil.
