Sad News Of A Great Man

My wife and I met Father Brendan in Boston, Mass., 18 years ago. He presided over our marriage ceremony. He later visited us in Canada, to the delight of our families. His imposing physical presence was beautifully balanced by his gentle spirit. We will continue to think of him often. Rest in peace, old friend. We miss you.

Deepest Sympathy

Very sad to hear of Brendan's death. He was a legend in Blackrock baths as a wonderful swimmer and water polo player in the '50s. I have many personal good memories of Brendan and his mother and father being a neaighbour in Mt Merrion Avenue. My late Mother Maude was a good friend of Mrs O'Sullivan.

Ar dheis De ar a anam. May he rest in peace.

Michael Lowey, Foxrock, Dublin 18.
