THORNTON (Lia) (née Blake) (died peacefully on Saturday) - February 19 2005, aged eighty-eight years, in South Haven, Michigan, U.S., in the loving care of Mary, David and Gene. Widow of Ronnie and beloved mother to Tom, John, Mary, Alan and David and mother-in-law to Stella, Maria, Gene and Marie, also survived by her sister Marie (Maher), brother Frank, brother- in-law Alan, sister-in-law Mairead (Fanagan). A wonderful grandmother to Ronnie, Lisa, Natalia, Maurice, Naomi-Jane, Robert, Michael, Lia and Alexandra and aunt to her nieces and nephews. She will also be fondly remembered by many friends and extended family members. Special thanks for many kindnesses to her neighbours in Dundrum, Maire Nolan and Viv Nugent, during her final years in Ireland. Burial in South Haven.
