In loving memory of our dearest friend Aodh

Dear Eibhlin

Zhihong and I were so sad to hear about Aodh's passing. We both cried when we heard about the news from Kieran O'Connor. Aodh is one of the few kindest people we have ever met in our life and we will dearly miss him.

We also understand that your mum Maureen is not in good health. Please send our warmest regards to her.

We are so sorry we did not keep up our contact with your dad and mum before he passed away. If you see this message, could you send us your email contact if possible as we would like to write a longer letter to your mum and you. My email address is qj.wang@csiro.au.

As we are approaching Christmas, we remember our dearest friend Aodh, who was a teacher and later a colleague to me and who always looked after Zhihong and me when we were in Ireland. We would always remember the many Christmas we spent with your dad, mum and you.

Please pass on our best wishes to your mum. We haven't met your husband Gavin and daughter Caoilshoinn. We wish Maureen, you and your family a merry Christmas and happy New Year, knowing that it will also be a sad time that your dad is no longer here to enjoy Christmas with you.

In loving memory of our dearest friend Aodh Dowley ...

QJ and Zhihong (and Michael 15 and Ethan 2.5)
