MacMANUS Padraig (Copenhagen). Poet, philosopher and long time humanitarian activist (peacefully) Friday, August 12, 2011. Padraig is sadly mourned by his children Seán and Hanna and his grandchildren, particularly August, together with a wide circle of friends in Denmark and around the world. Padraig was predeceased by his parents Brian and Teresa MacManus (Glenageary and Ballyvoyle, Co Waterford) and is remembered fondly by his grieving brother, Brìan and sister, Máire, and by their families. Padraig has spent the last 45 years living in Denmark and devoted his time to writing, teaching and serving the disadvantaged in many parts of the world. Padraig published many books and articles, mostly in Danish. He was larger than life and his generosity and sheer decency will be remembered by many. He has donated his body to medicine and his friends will celebrate his life at a party to be held later in Copenhagen. "If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of
the oppressor....."
