KENNEDY (Daniel) (Dan) (of Cuala Grove, Bray and formerly Lative, Portmagee) - August 20, 2006, Superintendent Garda Síochana (retired), in his 85th year, at St Vincent's Hospital (Elm Park); deeply regretted by Mildred (Beechfield Manor Nursing Home, Shankill), his dearly loved wife of 57 years, and a much loved Dad to his sons Fr Kieron (St Kieran's College, Kilkenny), Donal (Detective Garda retired, Enniscrone), daughters Dr Miriam (St Vincent's Hospital, Elm Park), Dorothy (Solicitor, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council), son-in-law Eamonn (Carney McCarthy, Clonskeagh) and proud grandfather to Donal, Leah, David, Sarah and Daniel, his brothers Joe (Oxford) and Charles (Caherciveen), daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at hospital mortuary. Removal today (Wednesday) following prayers at 3.45 o'clock, to St Canice's Parish Church, Kilkenny arriving at 7 o'clock approx. Requiem Mass to be celebrated at 12 Noon on Thursday. Burial afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery."Greatly missed but joyfully remembered.
