RABBITTE (Esker Lane, Lucan) - Sonya died in a tragic accident in Beijing, China on August 1, 2006. On this, her First Anniversary, Brian, Gretta and family wish to express our gratitude to all those who sympathised with us and offered support over the last year. To our neighbours and friends who visited the family home and who gave us comfort and who continue to express their kindness in various ways. To Fintan McCarthy's family who share our loss. Thanks to those who attended the removal and funeral, those who sent Mass Cards, sympathy cards and letters and who telephoned the family. A special word of thanks to all of Sonya's friends and relatives who travelled from all over Ireland. We want to acknowledge her colleagues in D.P.A. News International who sent messages from the world over and who travelled from Germany and Cork for her funeral. We want also to particularly acknowledge Fr Joe Coyne for his unstinting support; to the other priests of the Parish, Fr Paul Taylor and Fr Denis Henry and the other clergy who helped to officiate at the funeral Mass, especially Fr P.J. Cunningham, a friend of the family; to the ministers of the other Christian churches in Lucan, Ewan O'Flynn, sacristan, Parish Centre staff and volunteers; Kathy Nugent; Cunningham's Funeral Directors; Sergeant Brian Hearne and colleagues at Lucan Garda Station; staff of the Dept. of Foreign Affairs, Dublin and the Embassy of Ireland, Beijing. A very special thank you to the executives and many volunteers at Lucan Sarsfield G.A.A. Club. We hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation. Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
