McCARTHY (Fintan) (Lucan) - On the occasion of the first anniversary of Fintan's death, his parents Jim and Elizabeth, together with his brothers and sisters, wish to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with us and offered support following Fintan and Sonya's tragic accident in Beijing on August 1, 2006. We are extremely grateful to everyone who visited, wrote, sent Mass Cards, attended the removal and funeral Services, made donations to the nominated charity and who have continued to express their sympathy and kindness in various ways. We want to particularly thank all of our kind neighbours and friends who provided practical support in so many ways, Fr Joe Coyne P.P. and the other con-celebrating priests, the Oblate Fathers, Inchicore, Ministers of the other Christian churches in Lucan, Ewan O'Flynn, Cathy Nugent, Parish Centre staff and volunteers, Sgt. Brian Hearne and colleagues in Lucan Garda Station, staff of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin and the Irish Embassy in Beijing, the Finnstown Input Group, Hugh Courtney and staff, Lucan United F.C., the Lucan Lions Club, the Lucan Hedgehogs Special Olympics Club, Cunningham's Funeral Directors, Fintan's colleagues in Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal, Inchicore, South Dublin County Council and the Green Party. Special thanks to all at Lucan Sarsfields GAA Club. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for all your intentions.
