McLOUGHLIN (Brian) (Glenageary, Co. Dublin) - August 29, 2006, (peacefully) after a long illness courageously borne, surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the doctors and nurses of the Nightingale Unit at Blackrock Clinic, beloved husband and best friend to Vonnie, the most wonderful and cherished dad to Ciara, Lynne and Stephen; greatly missed by his mother, sisters Mary and Ailish, brother Brendan, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends. Removal to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock arriving 5 o'clock this (Wednesday) evening. Funeral tomorrow (Thursday) after 10 o'clock Mass to Shanganagh Cemetery. House private. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society."May he rest in peace."

McLOUGHLIN (Brian) (Glenageary Co.Dublin) (Died 29th August 2006) - On this the first anniversary of our beloved Brian's death, Vonnie, Ciara, Lynne, Stephen, Brian's mother Maeve and the rest of the McLoughlin family wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us during our time of loss and right up to the present day. We are deeply grateful to all those who attended the funeral services, sent Mass cards and letters and expressed such kind and thoughtful sentiments about Brian. Your warm support was greatly valued and it affirmed for us the respect and affection that so many people felt for Brian throughout his life; we were truly overwhelmed at the extent to which he appears to have touched some of your lives. Special words of thanks to Fr Martin Clarke and the priests of Blackrock College. Sincere thanks to Dr David Fennelly and the excellent staff of the Blackrock Clinic. Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
