HAYES, Mahon, June 27, 2011 - Mahon's wife Kathleen, his children Carolyn (Reilly), Fiona (Renshaw), Loraine and Frank want to say how grateful we are to all for the kindness, support and friendship shown to us in so many ways during Mahon's illness, at the time of his passing and since then. Thank you to those who visited, phoned, sent Mass cards, letters and cards of sympathy, made donations to Our Lady's Hospice Blackrock, and attended his removal and funeral, particularly those who travelled long distances to be there. We drew special comfort from the extended Hayes and O'Donoghue families and relatives, lifelong friends, colleagues in the Department of Foreign Affairs and kind neighbours. Specific thanks to Nurse Kira of Our Lady's Hospice Blackrock, Grainne of Bluebird Care, Fr. Brian and the parish of Dundrum, soloist Roisin Bradley, and Fanagans Funeral Directors, Dundrum. As it would be impossible to thank each one individually we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deep appreciation. A Mass has been offered for the intentions of all of you. We know that we are not alone in our loss and for that we thank you sincerely.
