WHELAN (née Magee) (Ballinteer) January 12, 2010 peacefully after a long illness borne with great courage and dignity, in the presence of her devoted family and in the loving tender care of the staff of the Beacon Hospital, Joan, beloved wife and dear friend of Brian, loving mother of Stephen, Ian, Kirsten and Bryan, dear mother-in-law of Nicola and Greg and doting grandma of Conor, Rian and Grace. She will be sadly missed but always remembered by her husband, sons, daughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and a wide circle of friends. Rest in peace. Funeral this (Thursday) morning after 11 o'c Mass in Church of St. John the Evangelist, Ballinteer to Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Beacon Cancer Support Centre."Angels guard thee"
