MEANEY (Columban Fathers) (Newport, Co. Mayo and Mindanao, Philippines) - Monday, September 18, 2006, Fr John (died peacefully), after a short illness bravely borne, at St Columban's, Manila. Dearly loved and loving uncle of Mary, Jim and John, Patricia, John and Irene, Nuala, Patricia and Mairead, many grandnephews and grandnieces. Beloved brother-in-law of Margaret and much loved cousin of the Hyland and McGrath families. Deeply regretted by his Columban Confreres, the many members of the extended Meaney family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Burial will take place in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines on Friday, September 22. Memorial Mass in Newport on Sunday, October 8 at 1.30 o'clock and concelebrated requiem Mass in St Columban's, Dalgan Park, Navan on Friday, October 13 at 11.30 o'clock"Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal"
