ABBOTT (née Marshall), Violet (Hillview Nursing Home and Granby Terrace, Carlow) - December 24, 2008, in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Luke's Hospital Kilkenny. Wife of the late Ned. Sadly missed by her sons Edwin and John, daughter Florence, son-in-law Gordon, daughter-in-law Valerie, brother Sam, sisters Lily and Frances, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, adoring grandchildren Nigel, Trevor, Alison, Jeffrey and Charlotte, nephews, nieces, all at Hillview Nursing Home, relatives and friends. Reposing at her home. Removal from her home this (Saturday) evening at 6.30 pm to the Killeshin Parish Church, Portlaoise Road to arrive for 7 pm. Funeral Service tomorrow Sunday at 2 pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Violet to Hillview Nursing Home."Safe in the arms of Jesus".
