McKIERNAN, John (Greystones, late of Cavan and Foxrock) Died December 30, 2008. John's wife Rita, sons Jimmy and Paul, daughter Maureen and extended family, wish to extend our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us on our recent sad loss. Thanks to all who attended the removal, funeral Mass and burial, many travelling long distances, to those who sent Mass Cards, Everlasting Gifts, Mass Associations and messages of sympathy. Special thanks to all who donated so generously to Blackrock Hospice in John's memory. Thanks to Fr. Eamonn Clarke CC, Kilcoole, Fr. Joe Kennedy (Garda Chaplain), Fr. Liam Belton, Fr. Con O'Connell (MSC), Fr. Enda Lloyd and Fr. Frank Purcell (P.P., St John's, Kilkenny). Thanks to soloist Michael Miley and organist John Brady. Particular thanks to An Garda Siochana Traffic Corps, Dublin Castle. Thanks to Mark Kinsella of Thomas Murphy and Sons Funeral Directors, Bray for their sympathetic, professional handling of all funeral arrangements. Words cannot adequately express our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Blackrock Hospice for all the care and love shown by every one of them, both to John and all the family, your kindness will never be forgotten. We would also like to thank Mr. Nicky Jermyn, Chief Executive, St Vincent's Private Hospital, and all the wonderful staff there, for their care of John over the years. A special mention to Mr. David Quinlan, Consultant, for his exceptional care of John, much appreciated by all the family. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. John's Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday February 1, 2009 at 11.30 a.m. in St Anthony's Church, Kilcoole."May John's gentle soul rest
