JENKINS (Peter) (May 23, 2007) - On what would have been his seventieth birthday, the family of the late Peter Jenkins would like to gratefully acknowledge the sympathy and support offered to them over recent weeks. Our sincere thanks to all who attended the funeral Service, telephoned and wrote. We would also like to thank most sincerely all those who sent floral tributes and carried out benevolent gestures in Peter's memory. We would like to particularly thank Peter's carer Dawn for all her hard work and commitment, which greatly enhanced the quality of Peter's life over the last eight years. We would also like to pay tribute to the exceptional staff of the Mater Private Hospital I.T.U. department and to all the medical team led by Doctor Lynch who cared for Peter with such compassion over his last months. Our thanks also to the I.C.U. Departments in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados, and Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, whose tremendous care brought Peter safely home to be with his family and friends for his final few months.
