To Derek and his Family

How sweet is life but we're crying. How mellow the wine that were dry, How fragrant the rose, but it's dying, How gentle the wind but it sighs. What good is in youth when it's aging, What joy is in eyes that can't see, When there's sorrow and sunshine and flowers, And still only our rivers run free

My Dearest Friend

Dear Derek,

You are gone but gone to a better place, safe in God's hands, with no pain anymore. You were not only a second Father to me ,but you were my best friend. We were there for each other through both the good and bad times.I was fortunate enough to get to know such a kind, honest, caring and loving person, who always put his loved ones and his friends before himself. You taught me everything there is to know and how to tackle the world and to have a good life. You were everything to everybody and what a family needs in a person. You're not only a human being, but you're a person,a man, a teenager,a son, a boy, a loving husband,a fantastic listener who would give up his time to anyone,a doting fatherwho loved his wife and children dearly,a cousin, a nephew,an uncle, grandson, relation etc.Goodbye my friend and I'll see you later on in life. From your buddy,Stephen Byrne.
