McDONNELL (Don) (Glasnevin, Dublin) (October 26, 2006) - We, the sons and daughters of Don, together with his brother Frank, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us and shared in our grief following our recent sad loss. A very special thanks to the management and wonderful staff of Marymount Care Centre, Westmanstown, for their excellent care of our Dad over the past two years, in particular Anna, whose tenderness and compassion in his final hours ensured a peaceful and dignified passing. Thank you to the priests of the parish of Our Lady of Dolors, and our very special thanks to Dad's good friend Fr. Joe Hanlon, who very kindly returned to the parish to celebrate the Funeral Mass as was Dad's wish. Thanks also to Fr. Ailbe for his kind words at the removal and for his assistance at the Funeral Mass. Thank you to Alison and Laura for providing such beautiful music. Our grateful thanks also to Bourke's Funeral Directors (Queen St.) for their professionalism and respect. We would like to extend a very special word of thanks to our extended family for all their assistance and kindness. A very special thanks is also due to Dad's many neighbours, bridge friends and racing companions whose friendship and support throughout the years meant so much to him. Finally, thank you to all those who attended the ceremonies and to those who sent cards, flowers and letters. Your support was of great comfort to us and was much appreciated. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions."Together"
