BRENNAN, Séamus (Finsbury Park, Churchtown) July 9th, 2008. Former Government Minister -Wife Ann, daughters Dáire, Aoife, Breffni and Síne, sons Shay and Éanna, sons-in-law Tommy and Chris, sister Carmel, brothers Joe, Eamonn and Terry wish to thank all those who sympathised and offered support during our sad bereavement. The family wish to express its appreciation to those who attended the Funeral; President Mary McAleese and her husband Martin, Taoiseach Brian Cowen; Members of the Government; Members of the Judiciary and all the Public Representatives; former Taoisigh Liam Cosgrave, Albert Reynolds and Bertie Ahern; Former EU Commissioners Ray McSharry and Dick Burke. We wish to thank the Clergy, Bishop Eamonn Walsh, Fr Enda McDonagh (Chief Celebrant of the Mass), Fr Donal O'Doherty, Fr Eamonn Newell, Fr Tommy Dillon, Fr Des Forde and all the other Priests who concelebrated the Mass and a special thank you to Reverend Des Synamon, C. of I. A very special thanks to the Foxrock Parish Choir under the direction of Goretti Newell, to Catríona Ryan and Sakinah Brennan who performed during the Removal and Ceremony and to those who paid special tributes on the day. We would also like to thank the Protocol section of the Department of the Taoiseach. We deeply appreciate too the involvement of An Garda Síochana and the Civil Defence in the organisation of the traffic in Dundrum. We offer our heartfelt gratitude to all our relations, neighbours and wide circle of friends, particularly his special four ball John, Bernard and Dave for their comfort and support at this sad time, to all those who sympathised with us, who sent flowers, letters or Mass cards, to those who attended the Removal of the remains, the Funeral Mass and St. Naithi's Cemetery. We extend our gratitude to you for your prayers, support and friendship. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions. First Anniversary Mass will be held in Holy Cross Church, Dundrum this Sunday, July 12th at 12 Noon.
