WHELAN (Lt. Col.) (retired) (Broadfield, Naas, Co. Kildare) - January 9, 2008, at St. James's Hospital after a long illness bravely borne, Tony, beloved husband of Mary; deeply regretted by his loving wife, sons Paul and Mark, daughters Suzanne and Ruth, brother John, sisters Joan and Christine, adored grandchildren Eoin, Lauren, Matthew, Harry, Aisling, Sarah and Amy, son-in-law Alan, daughter-in-law Valerie and Ruth's fiance CiarĂ¡n, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. R.I.P. Reposing at his home. Removal from there today (Friday) evening at 6 o'clock to arrive at the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas for 6.30 o'clock Requiem Mass tomorrow (Saturday) at 11 o'clock with burial afterwards in St. Corban's Cemetery, Naas. The family would like to acknowledge the tremendous support of the staff of St. James's Hospital. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.
