FURLONG Lt. Col. Thomas Vincent (Tom) (retired) (Ardmore Crescent, Bray, Co. Wicklow) - September 24, 2008, peacefully and with great dignity, in his 92nd year, after a short illness in the company of loving members of his nearest family in the last days and hours of his long, remarkable and greatly fulfilled life, in the excellent care of the medical staff at Beacon Hospital. Tom's life was not only full but exemplary, marked by great dedication, integrity, innumerable achievements and outstanding devotedness, kindness and charity. Sadly missed by his nephews and nieces Dolores, May, Noel, Patrick and Sean, grandnephews and grandnieces, great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces, his wonderful neighbours and his very wide circle of loyal former colleagues and friends in the Irish Army, the Bar of Ireland and legal profession, the Catholic Clergy and the Irish Rugby Community. A special thank you to the management and staff of the Malton Hotel, Killarney who cared for him when taking ill. May he rest in peace. Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray. Removal this (Thursday) evening at 5.30 o'clock to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Main Street, Bray arriving at 6 o'clock Funeral tomorrow (Friday) after 10 o'clock Mass to St Mochonog's Cemetery, Kilmacanogue. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society."A truly good man"
