<p>To Avril's family</p> <p>I am truly sorry for your loss. Dr. MacDonald was truly an inspiration to me. She taught me so much, she was an excellent teacher and a beloved friend. She loved what she taught and she taught it with such conviction. I will miss her, her strong character, her firm convictions and her awesome sense of humor. I am sure now she is in a better place.</p>
