McHUGH (Kevin) (Killybegs, Co. Donegal) (died 31st October, 2006) - I, Vera, together with my children, Paul, Karl, Kevin and Noreen, as well as Kevin's extended family, wish to express our sincerest appreciation to those who offered comfort and support to us on the occasion of the sad and untimely passing of my husband. The huge attendance at his removal and funeral mass is a mark of the calibre of individual that Kevin was and a reminder of the indelible print that he has left in the memories of so many family, friends and colleagues. We are truly grateful to all of you who were there to bid him farewell. We would also like to thank all those who sent such thoughtful messages, Mass cards, letters and flowers. To those who have made donations on Kevin's behalf to the Mater Foundation - Neurological Appeal, we are truly grateful. We would also like to acknowledge the tremendous care that Kevin received during his stay in both the Blackrock Clinic and the Mater Hospitals under Dr. Brain Murray and Dr. Tim Lynch. In particular we want to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Peter Kelly and his team in the Mater Hospital. We cannot speak highly enough of the doctors and nursing staff that attended him there. We are truly grateful to them for the support they gave us and the care and kindness they gave Kevin during the 12 weeks of his stay there. We would like to thank all those in the religious community who prayed for and visited Kevin during his illness. In particular we would like to thank Fr. Colm Ó Gallchóir and all those who assisted in the very poignant funeral Mass and burial. Thanks also to Jennings Funeral Directors (Dublin) and McBrearty's Funeral Directors (Killybegs) for their professional and caring service. Thanks also to the local Gardai and all others who facilitated us. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heart-felt appreciation. The Month's Mind Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, Killybegs at 12.30pm on Sunday 26th November.
