LYDON (Dr. Eamon) (December 28, 2008) - Kathy (Gavin), Eileen (Mill-Arden), Jamie (Archer) and their families were overwhelmed by the enormous expressions of sympathy received on Eamon's passing. We wish today, on what would have been his 91st birthday, to express our thanks to everybody who attended his removal and funeral Mass, many of whom travelled long distances. Our thanks also for the many letters and Mass cards, the words expressed in Eamon's memory and the beautiful flowers sent on his passing. A special thanks to Monsignor O'Dwyer for his kindness to and care of Eamon over the years and particularly towards the end of his days. Many thanks also to all the priests who concelebrated Mass with Monsignor O'Dwyer. We also wish to express our gratitude to Dr. Piggott, to the wonderful staff at the Village Nursing Home and to all of those who called to see him before his passing and whose company he loved and much appreciated. Our thanks also to Sonny Molloy who sang at Eamon's and Honnie's wedding in 1945, at Honnie's funeral in 2004 and who once again provided beautiful music at Eamon's funeral Mass which Eamon would have greatly appreciated. Since it would be very difficult to thank everybody individually, we trust you will all accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our thanks for all your kindness and prayers. Mass is being offered for your intentions."To be loved in the hearts we leave
behind is not to die"
