Appreciation of Maire

I will always remember Maire as an excellent doctor, a great teacher to us, the student nurses of St. Vincents Hosp., a devoted daughter to her elderly mother and a most kind and caring person. She once told me that she regarded herself as a universal mother, and she even had a plaque on the street at her Merrion Square consulting rooms to encourage needy people to seek her help. May she now recieve her just reward for all the good she has done, and may she rest in peace. Emily Ahern (nee Ryan)
