Good man, bad shades.

A huge man, with an even bigger heart. Rest in peace, and know that where you are now, the sunglasses are never bent out of shape.

Conor asked the most revolutionary question

About a year and half ago I wrote a blog about Conor and his influence on me and other Canadians working in Malawi.

You can read what I said then on "Fast Learning: The Most Revolutionary Question, thanks to Fr. Conor Kennedy".

That is my tribute to Conor, his Christian commitment, his enthusiasm for rugby and his essential understanding of what should really drive development: "What kind of future do you want for our children?"

By the way, Fr. Conor Kennedy is an honorary life member of the Edmonton Rugby Football Club, in Edmonton Alberta Canada. They have section of their life members' page describing Conor's contribution to the growth of rugby in Edmonton.

Sincere condolences on passing of well loved priest in Malawi

We got to know Fr Conor in malawi 2005-6 and he came to our home and we attended mass in the local convent. He brought patients to the MSF clinic in Thyolo where I worked and one special day said mass for a dear student of his who was dying from AIDS. He introduced us to Emmanuel who is now a medical student who we continue to support. his work will continue long fater his premature passing. May he rest in piece. Danny Mc Laughlin, Maggie Fitzgerald, 1 Victoria Rd Rathgar Dublin 6

Please see message from one of Fr Kennedys proteges; Emmanuel Golombe Formerly of Ncheu "I am fine. I am doing my last rotation in Paediatric Department. I hope you are also fine. I will be starting my 4th year on November 14. I am also working on my research proposal. My research is on men's views on companionship in labour. Most men do not accompany their spouses to antenatal clinic and don't give any support during labour.

Fr Kennedy died in South Africa. He left Malawi just two months after you left. So he has been in South Africa since 2006. I last spoke to him last week when he was telling me that he would be sending school fees for my young brother. He was really a good man. He has been very helpful to my family and most of the people from the community I come from. His death is a sad story to most of us. I will remember him forever. I hope he is resting in peace.
