PATCHELL (Gerard Martin) - On this Gerard's 47th birthday, his first away from home, his mother, brothers and sisters would like to express our sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues who sympathised and supported us in our sad loss. A special thanks to all who attended the funeral Mass and travelled long distances to be with us. Thank you for all the cards, letters and floral tributes. A very special and heartfelt thanks to Fr. Pat Mckinley for his empathy, guidance and friendship with the funeral Mass, also Fr. Peter Finnerty who assisted. Our gratitude to Kirwans Funeral Directors, for attending to the funeral arrangements with professionalism and sensitivity. We also thank Celestine and her staff for arranging the lunch after the funeral. We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Our Sympathy
My sister Rosemarie Harty and I wish to send our very belated condolences. I have just heard of Ger's passing and I so very sad for your loss. Ger and his friend Ken Ryan were friends of ours many years ago when I attended Maryfield College. I always found him to be such a sensitive and lovely person. I will treasure memories of those times even more now. I do hope the passage of time has helped. Regards Angela Harty Mullan ( now living in Brisbane which is likely why this sad news never reached me).
