SHANLEY (Orna) (née MacMahon) (Monkstown, Co. Dublin) (Died June 18, 2006, Aged 61) - Orna's husband Derry, daughters Keelin, Muireann, Emma and Niamh and son Eoin, sons-in-law Conor, Gavin, and Jamie, together with Orna's sisters Bronagh, Alda, Cronia and brother Philip wish to express their deep appreciation to Orna's and to our relatives, friends, colleagues and former classmates for the enormous outpouring of affection during her happy life, illness and funeral. A lot have extolled her good humour, selflessness and stoicism. Many travelled great distances to attend her funeral and we have received an enormous number of kind messages of condolence and support, as well as, Mass Cards for which we are most grateful. Special thanks to Frs Eddie Conway PP, Blackrock, Richard Sheehy PP, Rathmines, Michael Gallagher SJ and Paddy Gleeson CC (Trinity College) for officiating at her funeral. We are indebted to Dr David Fennelly and his superb team and colleagues in the Blackrock Clinic; the exemplary Blackrock Hospice Home Care Team and Mary O'Connell PHN. Special thanks to Dr Donald Brooks, the recently retired Dr Robin Benson and Dr Penny Blakely for their care of Orna. We are attempting to write to each individual but are missing many names of those who attended and therefore apologise if this is the only expression of appreciation you read. We also thank those who sent donations to the Blackrock Hospice in her honour. Mass will be offered for your intentions.
