MURPHY (James E.) (Jim) (Forglen, Fennells Bay, Crosshaven, Co, Cork) (Air Traffic Control, Cork and Shannon) (Acknowledgement and First Anniversary, April 28, 2006) - Jim's wife Joan and children Gerds (Clonmel), John (Canada), Dave (Lucan), Shay (Killeagh) and Mark (Carrigaline), grandchildren, sister, brothers, and extended family wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all who supported us in so many ways in our terrible loss last year. To the choir and organist from Macroom, for the beautiful singing and music at the Mass, the St Mary's Bowls Club from Carrigaline for the Guard of Honour outside the church; to Fr Michael McCarthy, Crosshaven, for his help and friendship during Jim's short stay in hospital and afterwards. Also for giving us that beautiful Mass helped by Fathers Tim O'Leary and the two Holy Ghost Fathers from Rockwell, Co. Tipperary, Fr Peter Queally and Fr John L. O'Sullivan; also the medical and kitchen staff in the Bon Secours Hospital for their wonderful care of Jim; the funeral arrangements by Nelligan Undertakers, Fermoy, Co. Cork, who showed professionalism during a difficult time; The cemetery staff for their help and concern, the neighbours and friends who came to the house laden with goodies during the Wake, those who sent donations to Jim's four charities, namely St Patrick's Hospital Fermoy, Marymount Hospice Cork, National Council for the Blind, Cork, and School of the Divine Child, Lavanagh, Cork, and finally, a special thanks to the friends who have kept in touch and whose loyalty and affection have helped us through this difficult year. We will always remember your kindness. Mass has been offered in grateful appreciation."May he rest in peace".
