McLAUGHLIN Dr. Denis R.I.P. (February 9, 2009) ("Ceol Na Mara", Buncrana) - Denis' leaving of life told much about how it was lived. He left peacefully, with acceptance, with courage and serenity, with a good word for those around him, with a will to live until he could no longer, with family and friends in the home he had loved and the town he adored. We who are left have much to be grateful for. Denis' wife Joan, sons, daughter, sisters, grandchildren and extended family wish to extend our sincere heartfelt gratitude to our wealth of friends and neighbours and also to Denis' close friends for the overwhelming support shown to us on our recent sad loss of a very special man, a husband, father, brother and granda. Thank you to all who called to the house, sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy, floral tributes and to those who phoned and texted and eased our path at a difficult time. Thank you to all who travelled long distances to be with us. Thanks to those who made donations to the Buncrana Nursing Unit. Thank you to the wonderful team of doctors and nurses in Letterkenny General Hospital who cared for Denis, to Dr. Maria Bradley for her dedicated care and attention to Denis over the years, especially in his final months. A special thank you also, to his carers who made his final weeks at home so much easier. Thanks to Rev. Fr. John Walsh, Rev. Fr. George Mc Laughlin, Rev. Fr. Joe Quigley, Rev Fr. Neil Farren and Rev. Canon Sam Barton who concelebrated the funeral Mass and made it so special. Thank you to Rev. Fr. Eddie Mc Guinness who officiated at the graveside. Thanks to Eddie Murphy Funeral Directors and the gravediggers for the caring and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. As it is impossible to thank everybody individually we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere gratitude. Denis' funeral was a celebration of a life well spent and a job well done. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions."Surely goodness and kindness shall
follow me all the days of my life,
in God's own house shall I dwell."
