FERGUSON (Navan Road and late of Ballymoe Co. Galway) - February 10, 2011 (peacefully) at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, Liam (Ex Garda Síochána) Beloved husband of Vera. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Vera, daughters Christine and Una, son Kieran (Clonakilty), daughter-in-law Fiona, precious grandchildren Matthew, Anna and Ciara, son-in-law Richard, brothers, sisters, family, friends, colleagues and the Garda Handball and Angling Clubs. Removal this (Saturday) evening from his home to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Navan Road arriving at 4:30pm. Funeral on Monday after 11am Mass to Glasnevin Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to St. Francis Hospice, Dublin 15."Rest in peace Liam"
FERGUSON (Navan Road, Dublin 7 and Ballymoe, Co. Galway) - On the First Anniversary of Liam's death, Vera, Christine, Una and Kieran; siblings John, Jim and Una and extended family wish to thank the many relatives, friends, Garda colleagues and neighbours for their kindness and support during his illness and since his passing. A special thanks to his caring GP. Dr. Owen Carey and to the staff of Connolly and the Mater Hospitals. Thanks to all who visited Liam in hospital, sent Mass cards, letters and messages of sympathy, to those who visited our home and attended the removal and Requiem Mass. Our special thanks to Fr. Michael Ross, Fr. John Moran CC, Fr. Seamus Cassidy PP, Fr. Benny Flanagan (Ballymoe) and Fr. Joe Kennedy, Garda Chaplain, all of whom made the Service so special. The kindness and ongoing support we have received in the past year have helped us to cope with our great loss.
