Dublin, died June 11, 2007) - On Noel's first anniversary his daughters Daire, Dervilla and Darina, sons Raymond and Carl together with Noel's sisters and brothers wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We thank those who called to the house, attended the removal, the funeral Mass and the burial in Kilmashogue Cemetery, who sent Mass Cards, letters of sympathy and those who made donations to St Vincent de Paul Dundrum Conference in memory of Noel. Our gratitude to the clergy who concelebrated the Funeral Mass Msg Donal O'Doherty P.P., Fr Peter Healy C.C. Holy Cross Church Dundrum, Fr Flavin, Fr Nugent and Fr Mc Nulty C.S.S.P., Fr Joe Drumgoole, Fr Ronnie Neville and Fr Michael Fitzgerald. To all those involved in the music Niamh Murray, Frank O'Brien, Helen Hutchinson, Gordon Woulfe and the Dundrum Parish Choir we extend a very heartfelt thank-you. We thank the students from Our Lady's Grove Secondary School, Goatstown and St. Mary's College Rathmines for their attendance and the guard of honour. Thanks to the representatives of the Defence Forces for their participation at the removal and funeral. It was a fitting tribute to Noel's Army career and we were comforted by their presence. We appreciate the loyalty and kindness of Bríd, Frank and Anne whose dedication and hard work enhanced the quality of Noel's life in No. 33. We appreciate the attention and kindness to Noel in his final days from the staff in St. Monica's Ward and ICU St. Vincent's University Hospital. We thank our friends and neighbours who have been steadfast and loyal to both Noel and Ita in their years in Roebuck Park. Thanks to the Medical teams for their wonderful care of Noel over the years. We also thank Fanagan's Funeral Directors for their kindness and professionalism. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for the intentions of all. We miss Noel very much. We thank God for his 85 wonderful years lived with tremendous enthusiasm and great style. "Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann."
