DAVITT (Joan) (nèe Day) (Skeldon, Sunnyhill Park, Loughlinstown, Dublin 18) (Died March 24, 2007) - Joan's husband Maurice and children Jacqueline, Michael and Stephen wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss of such a loving wife and mother. We say a special thanks to those who attended the removal and the funeral. We deeply appreciate the heartfelt expressions of sympathy received personally, in letters, cards and floral tributes and in donations to The Irish Cancer Society. We are particularly grateful to Dr. David Fennelly and Dr. Gill Gormley, together with the nurses and support staff of the Nightingale Unit of the Blackrock Clinic who looked after Joan during the years of her illness and who gave her such dedicated care and attention in the final weeks of her life. We are indebted to the Chaplin, Fr. Gerry Byrne whose spiritual support and kindly manner made the closing period that much easier to bear for both Joan and us. Our special thanks are due also to Dr. Michael Moriarty of St. Vincent's Hospital. We hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our gratitude to all. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
