DUFFY, William (Bill) (Ballina). Beloved husband and cherished father passed away July 27, 2009. His wife Breda, children, Adrian, Andrea and Robert together with their spouses and children, Bill's brothers John, P.J. and Tony and sister Jean would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who offered their comfort and kind words at the time of his death. Particular mention should also be made of the support not only shown by the Duffys but also that of Breda's family, the Lawlors and Kilcoynes and also amazing neighbours and friends through out the course of the last year. Words fall short of the sincere thanks we would like to express to the absolutely wonderful staff on Hawthorn Ward at St. Vincent's Private Hospital, and to Mr. Donal Maguire who were caring and compassionate throughout his long and difficult illness. To Bill's many kind friends and former business colleagues who travelled from all over the country to his funeral, also a heartfelt thanks.
Dancing brown eyes
Always there to greet you

Lightness in your heart
Infecting all around you

Words of wisdom
Slipping by almost unnoticed
Subtle Encouraging Comforting

Your strength and courage erupting
Transferring to us

Preparing, suggesting a possibility
Of a life without you

Unbearable crushing reality
Dancing Brown Eyes

This poem was written for Bill by his
daughter Andrea. May he rest in peace.
