TAYLOR (Denis) (Stone View, Blarney, Co. Cork) (July 30, 1945 to November 14, 2005) (A Birthday Remembrance and Acknowledgement) - Denis's leaving of life told much about how it was lived. He left, not easily, but with acceptance; with courage and serenity, with a good word for those around him, with a will to live, until he could no longer; with his family and friends, in the home he built and loved. We who are left have much to be grateful for. To our wonderful neighbours and friends for their love and support, for the long hours of toil, for their laughter and tears, for their gentleness and their strength, for the great deeds and the small jobs. To all those who fed us and sustained us; To those of you who phoned or text or called, or eased our path in difficult times, and continue to do so, our heart felt thanks. We thank God for the learned medics - Michael O'Sullivan and the staff of GA, Ann Noonan and staff at Radiotherapy, for the stalwarth Dr. Joe Dillon, and his colleagues; always there through thick and thin, for Helen Healy, Amanda Stacros in Marymount whose kindness, care and practical support make life and death easier. We thank Him especially for the 'old style' nurses Breda Murphy and Breda Considine of the Irish Cancer Society, who also know how to pray. The Management and staff of E.P.S. Mallow and the Management, Principal, staff and students, both past and present, of Scoil Mhuire gan Smál Blarney, deserve special mention for their continuing support. We thank also the Public Health Nurses in Blarney, the Gardai, O'Connor Bros. North Gate Bridge, the staff of the Quill and Christies for so many kindnesses. So many of you kept vigil with us in those last days, travelled long distances to be with us, attended the ceremonies, sent cards and letters of sympathy and made generous contributions to Marymount and the Irish Cancer Society. We are very grateful to you all. St. Mary's Church, Waterloo has always been very special to us. We thank the sacristan, choir, the soloists Trish O'Reilly, Tim Murphy and Maria Collins, Anna's classmates who sang so beautifully, and all who made Denis's Mass so special. We are grateful to Rev. Fr Bluett, Rev. Fr Kelleher and especially Rev. Fr Tim Hazelwood and Very Rev. Canon Vincent O'Donohue for their constant support. It would be impossible to thank you all individually, but you are in our thoughts and prayers. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. On behalf of Denis's mother Patsy, his family Ann and Tom, Patricia and Gerald, Mary and Dan, Tim and Sheila, Elizabeth and Colman, Ber and Kevin and on our own behalf we thank you - Ellenor, Denis, Anna and Annette."Surely goodness and kindness shall follow me all the days of my life.
In the Lord's own house shall I dwell."
