BROWN, John (The Curragh and late of Killarney) - January 19, at his home. Loving and much loved husband, father and grandfather. Deeply regretted by his wife Marie, daughter Aoife, sons Barry and Paul, daughter-in-law Eva, adored grandson Euan, brother Liam (Florida), family, extended family and cherished friends. Rest in peace. Friends are welcome to pay their respects at his home this (Tuesday) evening from 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock Requiem Mass tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Church of the Holy Name, Beechwood Avenue, Dublin 6 at 11 o'clock to Newland's Cross Crematorium. No flowers please. Donations if desired to St. Brigid's Hospice, the Curragh."Think where man's glory
most begins and ends,
and say my glory was I had such friends."
BROWN, John (Kinneagh, The Curragh and Killarney, died January 19, 2009) - Always remembered with love by Marie, Aoife, Barry, Paul, family and friends. Many a glass has been raised and many a story told with much laughter - just as you requested John."Angels fold their wings and rest."
BROWN (John) (Kinneagh, The Curragh and Killarney) (Died January 19, 2009) - As we approach the First Anniversary of John's death Marie, Aoife, Barry, Paul, John's brother Liam and family would like to thank all who supported us through our very sad loss; those who sent Mass Cards, letters and phone calls, who visited John in hospital and at home, also those who donated to the Hospice. We thank all who attended the wake and funeral Mass in Beechwood Avenue and our friends and neighbours in Killarney who attended the Mass in Barraduff in April. Thank you to Fr. Bill Radley, Fr. Owen O'Leary, Fr. Eoghan Haughey and, as ever, Fr. Paul Freeney who has always been there for us. As a family we were overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity, love and support we received during a difficult time and we thank you all most sincerely. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
