O'DONOGHUE (Michael P.) (Salthill, Galway) - We, Maria, Richard, Paul and Michelle, the family of the late Michael P. (Skip) O'Donoghue wish to thank sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our great loss. We thank especially the President, Officers and members of the Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI), many of whom travelled long distances to be with us. We thank, also, the President, Captains and members of Galway Golf Club who, with the GUI, formed such a colourful Guard of Honour outside the Church in Salthill at the funeral. We are indebted to Fr Jennings, PP Salthill, for the beautiful ceremony and funeral Mass and for his help to Michael and our family during Michael's illness. Our special thanks to the wonderful doctors, nurses and support staff in Merlin Park and University College Hospital, particularly the nurses in the ICU Unit of University College Hospital for the wonderful care and attention given to Michael during his illness. Our thanks, also, to all those exceptional friends, neighbours and business associates who visited our home and attended the funeral. The huge volume of Mass Cards, letters of condolence, phone calls and floral tributes were very much appreciated. The genuine warmth and sense of shared loss evident in all those encountered during those days were of great comfort to the family, something we will truly remember for a long time. As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.May he rest in peace.
Month's Mind Mass on Sunday, September 4 at 12.30 o'clock in Christ The King Church, Salthill.
