<p>SHEEHY (Liverpool and formerly of Blackrock, Co. Dublin) Prof. Noel (President-elect of the British Psychological Society) - May 20, 2011 (unexpectedly). Sadly missed by his wife, son, mother, brother, sisters, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at Kirk &amp; Sons Funeral Home, 20 The Village, Bebington, Wirral, Liverpool. Removal on Friday (June 3) to St. Joseph's Parish Church, 10 Willow Bank Road, Birkenhead arriving at 2 o'clock Funeral immediately afterwards to Landican Crematorium, Arrowe Park Road, Woodchurch, Merseyside. Family flowers only please. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. John The Baptist Church, Blackrock, Co. Dublin on Tuesday (June 7) at 10 o'clock Noel has touched the lives of many people and maintained his trademark sense of humour to the end.</p>

<p>4th Anniversary Rememberance</p> <p>Never forgotten. Noel raised the standard and quality of the UCD undergraduate psychology degree programme when he was Professor and head of department in 1991 ensuring it's continued recognition abroad when it was at risk of being downgraded. <p>A memory of Noel</p> <p>I remember Noel with a smile and a sideways glance and something interesting to say. Back in the days in Leeds when I ran across from Anatomy to Psychology to bend his ear. I am so sad to learn that he is no longer with us.</p>

<p>To the Sheehy family</p> <p>I was very sad and shocked by this. My thoughts are with Noel's family, who are deprived of this wonderful person's company.Deepest sympathies to you all.</p> <p>Noel was a good friend and valued colleague when we were at Queen's together. I remember on one occasion we carried out interviews for a joint research project and we turned up wearing exactly the same clothes. The candidates must have thought there was a uniform for the job.</p> <p>I shall miss his warmth, generosity and sense of humour.</p> <p>Chris Tweed</p>
