MORTON BYRNE (Orla) (Monkstown, Co. Dublin) (Died October 2, 2009) - Today, Orla's birthday, her husband Paul, mother and father Maura and Louis Byrne, sister Fiona Hurley and her family would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for your support during Orla's illness and for your kindness and comfort since her death. To all who attended her funeral, made donations to the Irish Cancer Society, sent Mass Cards and wrote such wonderful letters of support, thank you. To Orla's friends, work colleagues in DCC and her pals in the horseriding fraternity your kind words and shared memories have been much appreciated over the past months. Sincere thanks also to Dr. David Fennelly, Dr. Jenny Westrup, the Oncology Team and all involved in Orla's care at the Beacon Hospital, particularly the 6th Floor staff for their kindness, support and advice. Orla was much loved and is greatly missed. We take strength from the countless happy memories and good times spent together, Orla's "joie de vivre" will not be forgotten.

I am so sorry to hear of Orla's death. She was such a lovely person. I have wonderful childhood memories of Orla when I spent summer holidays next door in Clonkeen road. She was one in a million. Hilary (Anne) Claffey O' kelly
