On realising that Fr. Walter is dead.

I felt something was wrong when I did not receive my annual Christmas Card. I thank God for his long life which started for me as an altar boy in Wexford 1948-1955. He also presided at our wedding in 1969.
With caring sympathy

I looked up Fr. Walter's name on the internet since we had not heard from him during this Advent/Christmas season...his card and letter was always anticipated.

My sad guess was realized when I saw his name here. I remember well his visit to Kansas, USA in 1966 with his sister(s).

Fr. Walter was a fine man, a good priest, and a wonderful friend to many. I know he will be missed. God bless you. I am so sorry I did not know of his death.

Peacefully, Sharon and Tom Soetaert

Emporia, Kansas
