LEE - The brothers and sisters of the late Fr Robert E. Lee (Fr Bobby) wish to express their deep appreciation of the sympathy and support they received from family and friends on the death of their beloved brother. We thank Bishop Martin Drennan, the clergy and laity, who attended the removal of his remains to St Ignatius' Church, and also those who attended the funeral Mass next day, especially those who travelled long distances from Belfast, Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Donegal, Dublin and USA. To those who had Masses offered, sent letters of sympathy and floral tributes, we say, many thanks. We shall be forever grateful to Fr Leo Morahan, principal celebrant of the Mass, who made the ceremony so meaningful and special for us all. To those who concelebrated, Bishop Brendan Kelly, Canon T. Kyne, Fr J. Humphreys S.J. and also Fr Frankie Lee, whose singing contributed so much on the day. To Bishop Eamonn Casey who attended both days, we say many thanks. To Fr Tommy Marrinan, who was with Fr Bobby in his final hour and to Fr Ian O'Neill who helped us in so many ways, many thanks. To the medical and nursing staff of Merlin Park Hospital and UCHG, to the organist and tenor, undertakers and staff and to the Gardai, who controlled the traffic so efficiently to the cemetery and to Michael Vignoles, who played the pipes so movingly at the graveside, thank you all. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for all your intentions.Happy Birthday Bobby.
